Raised in Central Texas pastures, Clyde Sommerlatte’s herd of 2-C Black Angus cattle flourish in a regenerative style of ranching and low-stress environment. The cattle thrive on healthy Texas grasses and are finished on carefully sourced grains to enhance the delicious, buttery marbling and flavor. 

We know our cattle’s stories from the time of conception until the time the beef is purchased, and we stand by our practices from beginning to end. 2-C beef is processed in-house at family-owned Hometown Meat Market, a USDA processing facility and is available for purchase in-store, delivery, or shipping through Hometown.  

Sustainability equals success in agriculture. When we take care of the land, it sustains the plants and animals, which in turn sustain and nourish us. Understanding this connection and fostering a healthy environment to efficiently raise a nutrient-rich protein source is at the heart of the “why” we do this at 2 Bar C Ranch.
